Hi Ben,
Once
again - super fixes in a timely manner. Much appreciated. I
can confirm the offset-pointer problem is fixed for Cadence users. However
children from parent X11 processes still is really broken.
Basically
Spawn
an X11 app
Create
a child window from that app
Move
that child window to another space
Go
back to the parent app and try doing anything - I end up in a totally different
space. hhm bummer.
Once again - while it's been said may
times I really do appreciate your work on this effort. How do we
get in touch with your boss?? I would like to thank him as well.

I'm pleased to announce that I've posted source and
binaries on http://www.x.org/wiki/XDarwin
for Xquartz 1.2a7. Since 1.2a6,
the following issues have been resolved:
*
JIS (Japanese) keyboards are now correctly detected by X11.
*
Xvfb and Xnest now compile cleanly; I have not tested them, but
binaries are available at http://people.freedesktop.org/~bbyer/x11app/
*
The "offset-pointer"/"ghost window" bug with Spaces
has been
resolved correctly (this is my second attempt). This means you can
now use the F8 function to zoom out and drag a window from one Space
to another with your mouse. Unfortunately, due to a known issue in
Spaces itself, you can not drag X11 windows to the edge of the screen
to move them to the next screen.
*
A focus problem was fixed -- previously, clicking on an X11 window
that was behind an Aqua window would not always bring the X11 window
to the foreground (but clicking on any other X11 window usually
would.) I'm sure I'll be proven wrong, but at the moment I have fixed
all of the focus problems that I know about.
Older fixes:
*
1.2a6 contained a speed fix for apps such as the Gimp and rdesktop
*
1.2a5 contained a first attempt at a fix for the "offset-pointer"
Spaces bug, but it was flawed.
*
1.2a4 fixed a SafeAlphaComposite bug that caused some GTK apps to
crash with a BadMatch error in 24-bit mode. It also fixed the focus
issue that made it difficult to bring any X11 apps to the foreground
(workaround was to click the X11 Dock icon, twice)
*
1.2a3 and earlier fixed:
"fake mouse button support" -- e.g. Option-click to middle-click
Crashes in Damage code due to Rootless conflict (need -
DROOTLESS_WORKAROUND)
custom entries in the Applications menu would not work if they
contained spaces (arguments) due to a lack of proper string escaping
The formatting in the .xinitrc warning message was fixed
We now release all modifier keys if X11 is deactivated -- this should
fix "stuck shift / capslock" issues
Crashes in QueryFontReply
PseudoramiX support was enabled by default, which allows windows to
be dragged between displays in multiple-display setups. It also
prevents X11 windows from being dragged behind the X11.app menu bar.
The "yellow cursor on Intel" bug was fixed.
