I've removed X11.app from the Dock and the start on login. I also removed the DISPLAY statement from .bash_profile.

Now, if I execute the following command in the Apple Terminal window, I get the error listed in the Subject line.

	slogin -X -Y -C -o TCPkeepalive=yes raid.my.domain.com

I've even tried the "New Remote Connection" option in the Apple Terminal Shell drop-down menu with the same results. Is this new? I preferred using an xterm and rarely used Terminal.app.
