ssh is not part of X11. This is a bug in the MacPorts version of ssh. Have you installed or updated any MacPorts packages recently (for instance, git-core, which in MacPorts depends on openssh, so it will automatically build and install ssh if you install git-core).


The solution, for now, is to simply do 'sudo port deactivate openssh', assuming that you are using MacPorts and that is what's causing the problem. This may be a problem in the fink version of ssh too, I don't know much about fink.
