Historical note: in the PARC Rooms X11 window manager (which I wrote many
years ago), each window could have a different geometry in each
different room (Space). The window manager did the
hiding/unhiding/reshaping of each window when the user changed spaces, and
would run through the top-level windows mapping and/or unmapping each.
The state was kept on the individual top-level windows, in a property
called XEROX_ROOMS_PRIVATE_INFO.
Any progress on open-sourcing quartz-wm?
