And how do we find out when we've switched Spaces? AFAICT there's no documented way to learn of this occurrence. I would be *very* interested to hear otherwise...

Well one interesting thing is that the Tiger X11 works better with Spaces and Expose, and does not exhibit the behaviour that Leopard X11 does. So whatever the code is in Tiger X11 that handles this, should work for Leopard X11 too.
