Thanks for pointing this out (to you and a few others). Someone said
this was introduced in Tiger, so I guess I still view my Macbook as an
unfortunate replacement for my broken iBook and never bothered to
dig around new Tiger features...

I remember the Apple II had a Ctrl key at the same position too =)
We can make it Mode_switch or Multi_key now. Good..
