Oh.  Thanks for the clarification.  I always thought it meant "this
would be too confusing for the typical user, or cause him to shoot
himself in the foot, even if put in the Advanced tab in Preferences".
By extension, this means that any idea of making some configuration
options needed by seasoned X11 users available only in this fashion
should be considered a Bad Idea.  Does that sound right?
