You could check whether the file was updated: Then it should contain
<key>Disabled</key>
<true/>
If so, only stopping the process failed. That should not be a problem
after you reboot. 8-) You can put the required text there yourself
with a text editor, if you understand clearly where it should go. (I
am not sure if you can use the property list editor on files owned by
root, or will it ask you to authenticate and then proceed? If not,
you could edit a copy of the file, then put the copy back in place of
the original.)

The fourth line seems to have an extra space too, in "pkg/ Contents".
It should be OK to proceed with those spaces fixed.
