Yes! This was actually the entire point of switching to the X.org
codebase -- more on that history in a forthcoming email. I'm
currently working on getting it to build cleanly, and took a "break"
from that to answer email here. I'll continue to read this list and
will try to answer any outstanding questions tomorrow.
In the mean time, the source *will* be available at git://
anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/xserver on the branch xorg-server-1.2-
apple; you can browse this online at http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg/xserver.git;a=tree;h=xorg-server-1.2-apple;hb=xorg-server-1.2-apple
and I will make source tarballs available. Note that this does not
yet build correctly -- fixing that is currently my top (personal)
priority. I'll post again when I've fixed that, and give further
instructions.
(It will also eventually be available from opensource.apple.com along
with the rest of the Darwin stuff, but the freedesktop.org codebase
will be actively maintained.)
