You can add +xinerama to the org.x.x11.plist (create a
ProgramArguments array, stick the Program string in the 0th element
and "+xinerama" as the 1st. I did just that, and the second screen is
now recognized as it used to be. But X11 behavior is now almost
unuseably bizarre. It would take me a bit too long to properly flesh
out that provocative statement right now, because of the (known, I
think) interactions with Spaces, but as it stands a) X11 title bars
are blank, b) moving the mouse to the OS X menubar snaps the mouse to
the top of the second screen, c) moving an X11 window from one space
to another actually copies the window into two active windows, but
clicking on one instance switches to the other. The last one's pretty
cute, if you like that kind of thing. I'll file some PRs after work.

Hi,
I tried upgrading to Leopard and am having some problems with X.
I see others here are as well.
The only problem that I can't live with is the that the X server in
Leopard seems to have Xinerama disabled. Eg, it is treating the
external monitor on my 20" iMac as a separate display, rather than
treating both monitors together as a single display.
From a diff of xdpyinfo running on Tiger vs Leopard:
<...>
- XFree86-Bigfont
- XINERAMA
+ XFIXES
+ XInputExtension
+ XKEYBOARD
XTEST
XVideo
default screen number: 0
-number of screens: 1
+number of screens: 2
screen #0:
- dimensions: 3280x1200 pixels (1111x406 millimeters)
+ print screen: no
+ dimensions: 1680x1029 pixels (569x348 millimeters)
resolution: 75x75 dots per inch
<...>
Is there any way to work around this other than to downgrade to Tiger,
or install Tiger's X11 pkg on Leopard? The launchd stuff has me
confused and I have no idea how to pass +xinerama to Xquartz.
Thanks,
Drew
