Well, this is really peculiar. The '_mysql' is just coming from
getlogin() in the X11.app ... I don't know why "_mysql" is being
returned for your getlogin().

That log file doesn't look like it's from 2.2.0... you shouldn't be
seeing the "domain/default pair... does not exist" any more after
installing 2.2.0 and rebooting. The following is in /usr/X11/bin/
startx to avoid this:
if ! defaults read org.x.X11 no_auth >& /dev/null ; then
defaults write org.x.X11 no_auth -bool false
fi
As for the '_mysql' issue... that is a bit odd... My guess is that
you have a configuration error. Open up Terminal.app and run this
'whoami && id && id _mysql' without the quotes.
What is reported?
$ whoami && id && id _mysql
thraxisp
uid=501(thraxisp) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff),98(_lpadmin),
81(_appserveradm),101(com.apple.sharepoint.group.1),
79(_appserverusr),80(admin),102(com.apple.sharepoint.group.2)
uid=74(_mysql) gid=74(_mysql) groups=74(_mysql)
In addition, it seems to work if I start an xterm from the terminal
app. The login and userid are correct.
I deleted the org.x.X11.plist preferences file as well. Could the
X11.app shell be picking up the wrong user from somewhere?

Sorry for the short email... tired... yawn...
This fixes all the issues reported with 2.2.0_rc1 (exposé F9
bringing all to front, preferences-only-once, and the app-
defaults files). Please test.

This release is completely non functional for me. I upgraded from
2.1.3 and MacOSX 10.5.2.
No xterm starts, and there are odd references on the logs below.
WHy is it trying to start up with a userid of _mysql?
