copy/paste is an annoyance of mine as well... so timeframe is "when
other issues clear up" or "when someone else writes code to handle
it"... sorry I can't be more specific than that. Hopefully 2.2.1
will fix all our stability issues, so I can start focusing on fun
esoteric things like GLX, Clipboard Proxying, RANDR, COMPOSITE, ...

A year or two ago, before this crazy Leopard thing turned X11 on its

there was a thread about how when you push COMMAND-C when text is

middle-click-to-paste X11 clipboard should be copied to the MacOS
clipboard
for pasting into apps outside of X11.
The basic issue is that currently, the text has to remain selected
in X11
when you PASTE the text into a non-X11 app. This is inconsistent
with other
Mac behavior (when you hit copy, it copies and you can paste
whenever unless
you copy something else) and other X11 behavior (when you select
something,
it is copied, and if deselected, you can still paste it until you
select
something else).
Is there a timeframe on this? It consistently frustrates me.
