Yes.
I have tried using Xephyr but it has the incredibly annoying
behaviour of requiring space to be pressed twice in order to get a
single space to register. The behaviour is the same as reported in
ticket #81 for milestone 2.2.1 for Xnest and that has been marked as
wontfix. This issue makes Xephyr unusable for me.
That ticket was closed because I couldn't reproduce it, and the
reported never responded to my questions. I cannot reproduce it using
twm on Xephyr.
Please try the following. Start you Xephyr by doing:
startx /path/to/your/xinitrc/or/wm -- /usr/X11/bin/Xephyr :20
example:
startx /Users/jeremy/.xinitrc.kde -- /usr/X11/bin/Xephyr :20
or
startx /usr/X11/bin/twm -- /usr/X11/bin/Xephyr :20
What WM are you trying to use? How are you starting Xephyr? Please
reopen that bug or create a new one and provide this relevant
information.
Thanks.
