Sorry Phil, you probably want an iPhone developers' list. This list
is for X11 users.

A question about developing iPhone apps using Xcode and actual
devices for iPod or iPhone:
What is the impact, to the device itself (e.g. iPhone or iPod) for
testing with applications. I read that there could be problems
associated with loading operating system code on an iPhone or iPod
that is newer then the released versions. But, if you do not load
such OS code is there still a problem?
For example, what if I borrowed my wife's iPhone for testing and
then she wanted it back for her normal use. I presume I can just
unplug it from the USB adapter and that is it but some of the stuff
I read indicates that there could be more then that -- such as
implications of some development state that the iPhone was placed in
for testing.
Can someone clarify this for me or point me in a direction where I
can find more information?
