Excellent. Thanks Jeremy, Harald.

After doing

defaults write org.x.X11 dpi -int 133

before starting X11, I now get reasonable sized fonts in programs like gimp etc. This is a significant improvement.

I'll do as I promised and add an item to the FAQ.
