Cannot enter full screen mode

Hello everyone,
I have just gotten a brand new MacBook Pro. I installed X11.app from the CDs provided. I am running 10.5.6--that is, I've installed all the updates.

When I launch X11, I cannot enter full screen mode since the menu item "Toggle Full Screen" in the "X11" menu is disabled. Also, when I go into X11 > Preferences and select "Output" , the check box "Full screen mode" is disabled.

How can I enable full screen mode?
