I've noticed that according the the security information for the
10.5.2 update there are some X11 updates contained within it. Are the
updates only for the stated security issues or do they correspond to
one of the releases from http://xquartz.macosforge.org? Just
wondering what's going to happen to my 2.1.3 installation after
updating to 10.5.2?
As noted by Jamie, 10.5.2 will install something extremely similar to
Jeremy's 2.1.1 -- you've now discovered my secret plan to use you all
as Guinea pigs to test 10.5.2! All credit goes to Jeremy for his hard
work on this release.
I took my PowerMac G5, installed Leopard GM (9A581) on it, installed
xquartz.macosforge.org's 2.1.3 on it, updated to a pre-release version
of 10.5.2, and it seemed to work fine (albeit reporting as X.org
version 2.1.1). I didn't test it, but you should then be able to re-
upgrade to 2.1.3, or leave it at 2.1.1 without problems.
