You're probably better off asking that question on a mozilla mailing

I think that macports has firefox in it, so you can take a look at
its Port file to examine dependencies and such.

Hello,
I have tried searching the web, but probably just looked in the
wrong places...
My first question is actually if I am going the right route:
I suppose that using mozilla-xremote-client would speed up my
remote use of mozilla running on a headless linux box. Is this
correct?
If so, then what do I need to set to compile mozilla for X11 rather
than for Carbon on OS X?
Thanks
Alex
Fink also has firefox for X11 <http://pdb.finkproject.org/pdb/package.php/firefox2
> but it requires extensive patching to work and is very difficult to
build manually. The firefox build process makes a lot of assumptions
when built on a Mac (ie using Carbon) and building for X11 is not
officially supported.
