This is the #1 most annoying bug in X11 right now and is *very* well
known:
http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/xquartz/ticket/2
It's definitely on the hit list.

Hi Guys, it's been awhile since I have posted. Most of the problems
I had
early on have been solved for the most part. I am now back on
Leopard (
10.5.2) with the lastest available 1.4 rc1 X installed. The problem
I am
noticing which has been around since Leopard came out is this.
I use rdesktop a lot for managing some remote Windows machines.
Lets say I
have 2 or 3 rdesktop windows open and one is current and active. If
I use
Expose to view all windows, click with the mouse to select another
rdesktop
X window, then try and click on the selected rdesktop X window, focus
returns the the previously focused rdesktop X window. I have to
move the
previous X window over so I can click on the other desired X window
so my
clicks do not "go behind" to the other X window. If I use the
"Windows"
menu for the X11 app and choose the other rdesktop X window to
change to,
the focus issue does not exist.
I hope this makes sense and is not a repeat of something someone has
already
posted. Thanks for any help with this problem. I hate to say it,
but it is
very annoying. The good news I can report, is that I can run my
rdesktop
windows using -a 16 with very few crashes if ever. My friend at
work has
also noticed much improved stability with X on Leopard. We used to
have so
many crashes with X, that we moved back to Tiger. Now we are back on
Leopard and only have a crash about once every couple of days. It
usually
seems to happen with copy/paste operations as far as I can tell.
Thanks,
Jesse
