Dear All

I just did a fink selfupdate, and fink update-all, and it has just replaced my /usr/X11/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc from Jeremy's 2.1.4 version for a fink one (which does not seem to have any of the latest font caching stuff in it).

This makes me pretty uneasy - it seems fink should perhaps be adding to, but not replacing, a system wide file like this, and also raises what would happen to the fink stuff if e.g. darwinports behaved in the same way?

Is there some way that the Apple / X11 / Fink / Darwinports guys get together and come up with a good answer to this?
