Hi, Dear All,
I am using Tiger 10.4.11. I use ssh -X to connect to a remote Linux server.
I asked X11.app not to show in the dock in its Info.plist, but it still shows up in the dock.
Today I Cleared the Application Caches and Font caches using OnyX.
Then I launched Matlab and Inkscape. X11 didn't show up, but Matlab and Inkscape work correctly.
Below is the information from console when I launch Matlab:
XFree86 Version 4.4.0 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600)
_XSERVTransmkdir: Owner of /tmp/.X11-unix should be set to root
[DRI] screen 0 installation complete
Screen 0 added: 1440x900 @ (0,0)
Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing from list!
When I tried to launch X11.app through Cmd-Click or the Terminal, X11.app fails to launch. It just shows up in the dock briefly.
I reinstalled X11.app from the Tiger DVD.
Now X11 shows up in the dock and opens a xterm when I launch Matlab. But I still can't launch X11.app separately.
This is the information from console when I launch X11.app separately.

Quitting XDarwin...
