Options menu works fine for me with emacs 21.2.1 and 21.3.1 on remote linux host.

I'm not using 2.1.3 yet (I'm using Jeremy's first package). I use "-Y" with ssh.

Hi Tim,

Yes, I did. Thanks. I removed, restarted X, made a new terminal and now I see the single icon and it seems to auto launch

Then I tried my remote emacs session. I can type, copy & paste via the middle mouse button.. everything seems fine. Then I hit the menu Options (between Edit and Buffers) and it kills X again. On the server I see:

Cranmer@acas0001 ~ $ X connection to /tmp/launch-E2RqRV/:0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Connection lost to X server `localhost:11.0'

luckily, if I start a new emacs session remotely, my local X session starts up. So you've solved N-1 of my problems. Thanks!

Any idea what's going on with the Option menu?

Note, I can click on the little icons for to open a file, or print etc. it doesn't crash. The remote server is running:
cranmer@acas0001 ~ $ emacs --version
