In general, it is problematic to have spaces in file names in the UNIX
world.

Perhaps consider changing your path to not contain spaces, so you
don't encounter problems in other software as well...
Well, so far the only problem I've had is with XQuartz. I suspect
that changing the name of the drive containing my profile is more
likely to be a cause of problems than a solution to them.
