Well what happens when you nuke /usr/X11/share/X11/xkb?

Hi Jeremy,
If you could take a look in Console.app for ny debugging
information, that would be a big help. It sounds to me like you
might have a rogue X11.app sitting somewhere on your system that is
getting started instead of the one that came with 2.3.0.
Indeed, the console has an interesting set of information. Below is
the copy of the output when attempting to launch X, which is
repeated many times. Apperently, it is a keyboard issue. I have an
external logitech keyboard. Maybe a conflict with logitech control
center or extensions ?

I'm having trouble with the 2.3.0 release, namely it crashes
randomly, or so it seems. Then the server tries to relaunch
periodically, with no effect. If I try to close my session and
re-login, the server tries again to relaunch, with the same
effect,
i.e. immediate crash of the X server. I even tried to reboot. Same
effect.
Are you saying that the relaunch attempts happened after login,
even
after a reboot, without you having done anything to start X11?
No, this is after having launched a terminal (using iTerm) and an
editing software like nedit. The window never comes and the X
server periodically bounces tas it would start but fails
immediately.
