Dear all
I am trying to use xterm with X11 but when i try to do this X11 just quits,
does anyone have any ideas?
This first happened to me just two days ago. Xterm crashed and I sent the
crash log to Apple (I have a mental image of the warehouse scene at the end
of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" movie). Restarting X just repeated the crash. I
rebooted the Mac and have not had the problem since. Leopard 10.5.4 here with
2.3.0 Xquartz.
This happened to me too, I think it was two days ago even. I had just
reboot the box, X11 set to start on boot up, CMD-n to get an xterm, X11
crashes, the app disappeared from the dock, re-appeared, and went away
again, then came back a 3rd time. The console gave a bunch of errors
(sadly, they seem to have scrolled out of the buffer, and I can't seem
to find the lines in /var/log/system.1.bz2) But it looked like when it
settled down, my display was on :2, rather than :0.
I reboot again, figured it was a sign that something just wasn't right,
and it seemed to be OK after that.
