Hi Tom -- that's exactly what I had been doing until I updated to 2.2.3. Now I just don't get a terminal window at all ... except on the first try after a reboot, or after opening and closing X11 multiple times in a row. It doesn't bother me at all press cmd-n to get a terminal. It bothers me to no end however, when I press cmd-n and _don't_ get a terminal. ;-)
