What makes you think that? Most of these implementations pride
themselves on *not* depending on some C library. And most of their
implementors have never heard of xcb :-).
I've found that "xcb" is often used to refer to the language-neutral
API which the real xcb is the C binding of. (The Haskell community
has been using it that way, for an example I have personally seen.)
