I have seen problems here with Tiger where I have a Mac Mini
sharing the keyboard with a couple of Linux boxes using a Belkin
PS/2 KVM switch with an ancient Microsoft Natural keyboard, Nokia
445Pro Monitor, and a 3-button Logitech PS/2 mouse.
The Mac Mini connects via a USB->PS/2 adapter.
The problem I had was that occasionally some combination of keys
would lock it in upper case, ctrl-capslock, alt-capslock, and
perhaps shift-capslock. Sometimes I could figure try various
options that would undo this, but often a restart seemed to be
the only solution.
I went to System Preferences->Keyboard&Mouse->Keyboard->Modifyer Keys
then set the Capslock key to No Action. I don't remember having
problems with this since doing this.
