How exactly do you do that? Do you mean when you minimize it?
, I'd like it be
treated as if it was in what Rooms[1] used to call "Baggage".
That is, if you "unpack" it from the Dock, it opens into whatever
Room (Space) you're currently in, and stays in that Space unless
you move it again. This is what Desktop Manager does, and it's a
nice design. In the current Spaces/X11 world, opening an X11
window from the Dock switches you back to the Space the X11 window
was created in.
Ah. I see what you mean. That is actually a bug that I filed with
Spaces back in October. I'd suggest you file that at http://bugreport.apple.com
... It's not an issue with X11.
2) When I switch to a different Space that only has an X11 window
open
in it, I'd like that window to get the focus. Right now, the
focus stays with whatever window had it, even if that window is in
a different Space. I'm using click-to-focus, not
focus-follows-mouse, but even so I'd expect this to happen.
I cannot reproduce this. I've heard this before, and the bug that was
filed on it specifically used cmd-tab to trigger the bug, but now that
cmd-tab is fixed, it works as expected. Please file this bug at http://xquartz.macosforge.org
and http://bugreport.apple.com
