Hmm. Okay, so my complaint is partly that it's unreasonably difficult
to get X11 to exist in a particular space, and partly that this toggling
behavior is just stupid anyway --- why would the system assume that I
must want to issue a command to the app in some other space than I'm in?
However, disabling workspaces-auto-swoosh seems to have brought it close
enough to usability that it's worth experimenting with. You'll find a
few lesser issues in the bug tracker now ;-)
