Hi,
I tried your suggestion, but I'm still getting that error and magic quits abruptly. This is on a Leopard 10.5.5 with XQuartz 2.3.1
However, on another machine which is Tiger 10.4.11 and has X11 1.1.3 (XFree86 4.4.0), magic works fine (installed
also via macports).
I'm not too familiar with the various X11 version numbers so I'm not sure if this version is very old or not.
Regarding the problem with tkdiff, that happens on both machines, and I guess tkdiff isn't using the new tcl like you mentioned.
