I'm going to suggest to my SO such a setup too, maybe. Though she's an icewm
user instead of fvwm.

I've been using a Mac for the last 9 months:-( It's clearly polluted my
brain:-) I've found a lot to like about MacOSX, but the click-to-focus
etc does annoy.
I do think "rootless" is a highly desirable feature (provided it's
optional) so one can put X11 apps side by side native apps.
