I'm not see this issue at least with rc7 (I do vaguely remember seeing
something like this in the past, thought it odd, manually deleted
them, rebooted and tried unsuccessfully to recreate the issue since I
wasn't sure how it happened in the first place). At least at the
moment with rc7, the socket is showing up inside the directory in /
tmp/ pointed at by the DISPLAY environment variable as expected and
netstat is showing the active socket there as well.
