Interesting...
I've seen someone use this software, but I never tried it myself.
I'm guessing it's probably 99% a problem with synergy and 1% us not
working around this issue (you can look in the code to see how we work
around various vnc quirks).
I'll install it on my fedora box and try setting it up to test...
Was there any version of xquartz that you have seen it work, or is
this just something that has always been broken?

Hi,
I'm having what I think is a problem with X11, XQuartz 2.3.2 (really
2.3.2.1, but the "About" window doesn't include the .1), xorg-server
1.4.2-apple31.
The problem is in use of the popular program Synergy (c.f.
http://synergy2.sourceforge.net) which allows me to share a mouse and
keyboard across two systems as if I had one system with two
monitors, but
each system is running its own stuff.
The problem is that when the OSX computer is the "client" and my
linux box is the "server." In this case, I can mouse and keyboard
over from
the server to the client, and in every program EXCEPT X11, it works
fine. In
X11, sometimes there is a further problem--the keys I type are
"sticky." So,
in essence, it's as if the "keyDown" commands are being transferred,
but the
"keyUp" commands are being missed. So, a single key is repeated a
bunch of
times.
I'd guess that this is a problem with synergy rather than a problem
with X11 or the apple X11 system...but I am emailing this list in case
anybody has any ideas or has had this problem before. As mentioned,
this
problem only occurs in X11 windows...and it's not always a problem
(sometimes keypresses do not stick).
