NX is closed source, so I can't do much more than ask them to debug.
Similarly, it looks like HKL is closed source (http://www.hkl-
xray.com) ... so there's not much I can really do about either right
now. Can you please contact the vendors, and ask them to debug the
problem. You certainly have a screen resolution that is reported
larger than 1024x860. It is reported as 1440x878 because the OSX menu
bar is not considered part of the X11 screen.
My only hunch is that they subtract 22 pixels from the reported height
for the titlebar of the window (resulting in 1440x858)...

Thanks much for your prompt reply,

Hi All,
I am having problem with screen resolution for a program running
under
X11. I keep getting this message "... requires screen width larger
then 1024 and screen height larger then 860" and the program does
not
start. I am using a mac book pro therefore screen resolution
1440x900,
and XQuartz 2.3.2. This program used to run fine with previous
versions of X11 (although I can't really test it again now). Just
wondering if anybody has experienced this before, and if there is a
solution or screen setting option I am maybe missing with this
version
of XQuartz?
Thanks in advance for any input,
EM
