I get this occasionally when running a system we developed in Qt and
X11 on a SCO UNIX server. Usually I would run it from the command line
of a scoterm and the application would crash with floating point
exception.
Trying to re-run the application just gives the same error until I
restart X11.app on the Mac then everything is normal.
I wondered if this was something to with the networking as I move my
MBP between the office and home and change location while X11.app is
still running and sleep and wake the MBP while X11 is running.
The failure usually occurs on the first time I connect after changing
location or waking the computer but is does allow the xterm on the
remote UNIX server to connect first so it must be something to with
our Qt application.
I have tried to debug it once but I think the crash was in
OpenDisplay().
Regards, Rob.

Despite upgrading to 10.5.7 and xquartz 2.3.3.2 recently I still get
a 'floating point exception' error occasionally when I to open
certain X apps (xxdiff in particular)... anybody seen & solved this?
thanks, michael
