Is it possible to run xorg-server from console without Mac OS X

I cannot found any information about it.
You could build and run standard xorg-server for Darwin; Apple's X11
server, however, is a protocol adapter which maps X11 operations to
WindowServer. (Which is why it has so many limitations compared to
a standard xorg server).
There's always the easy solution: install Linux on your Mac, either as
a dual boot machine or replace Mac OS X with Linux. Then you'll have
X.org. It's been a while since I ran Linux on a Performa 6400, but
I'm pretty sure current Linux distros will run on both Intel and PPC
Macs.
