Hi,
I would like to run two different X11 servers with different display
depths on Leopard. Is there any documentation?
I thought this was in the FAQ, but perhaps it's not. You just need to
install 2.3.2.1 or later and:
cp -R /Applications/Utilities/X11.app /Applications/Utilities/
X11-256.app
Then edit /Applications/Utilities/X11-256.app/Contents/Info.plist and
change org.x.X11 to org.x.X11256
Then you have an entirely new X server at your disposal. The launchd
DISPLAY socket only corresponds to the "original" X11 server.
I tried to configure a second launchd plist, but I was not successful.
Is this the correct approach?
No.
