1) What is your current version of X11, and how did you get there (what system updates did you do)?
xquartz 2.1.6 xorg-server 1.4.2-apple33
I installed this by hand a while ago, I think Today I installed 4 things when they popped up in software update including 10.5.7. I'm not sure what else or how to find out.
2) What is your hardware configuration?
it's a 2.4ghz macbook pro 3,1 - it's the santa rosa one.
3) What is your keyboard layout for OSX?
I don't know how to find the keyboard layout. I checked under keyboard, but it's not there. It should be whatever the standard US-English settings are. But I'll happily report whatever.
4) What is the output of:
xmodmap -pk
From mac terminal: err, it's huge. Results to follow immediately after this.. not typing this on my mac.
5) What is the output of:
find /usr/X11
same as above.
6) Does this get fixed if you install 2.3.3.2?
I'll wait until I get a response to the above before updating so I can make sure to get you all you need before I update and potentially can't repro it.

Anything I can do to help test before I likely reinstall?
