Really? X11 was available for OS X 10.1? I always thought Panther was
the first. I guess I need a better history teacher. ;)
On 10.0 even. There was the commercial Xtools from Tenon (not to be
confused with Apple's xtools, what is now called xcode).
From the xfree86 side, XDarwin from the XonX project was also available
on 10.0. And Fink had its first xfree86-4.1.0 package in June 2001, more
than 18 months before Apple came out with its X11, at a time when
darwinports was only a vague idea in the back of JKH's head :-)
