Hi-
I am always reluctant to post messages for issues that may have been
previously resolved, but I haven't found this one exactly by
searching the archives.
I have 2.3.2 running under 10.5.6 on a Mac Pro desktop machine. I
also have the exact same (as far as I can tell) installation on a
MacBook. All is fine on the MacBook. However, on the MacPro, X11
does not start quartz-wm (note that I don't have a .xnintrc on
either machine). When I run X11 on the MacBook, the system log shows
nothing unusual. However, when I run it on the MacPro I see many
entries, some of which are shown below. Also of note, the MacPro X11
runs for a minute or two, then crashes.
I have tried removing all X11 files as indicated in http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/X11-UsersFAQ
followed by re-installation of xquartz, and I have also completely
re-installed the OS with no change, followed by re-installing xquartz.
Thanks in advance for any advice here.

You can't connect because your .Xauthority file does not have the
authentication data because it's not writable. Why is that?
