Well, what kind of problems are you having? I don't see any previous
messages from you on this list (aside from the one that started the
thread), although I may be missing something.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated. I've been running X since
*X10*. I've configured/run/developed X11 on countless platforms over
the years and I have to admit that the Mac version numbering is very
confusing. There's the x.org source version, the xserver version and
the Apple version. I've read through several sites and I still don't
completely understand it. (this may be documented somewhere, I just
haven't found it)
Before I made the mistake of installing SL, my X11 setup was stable. I
was running Leopard and had been keeping up with Xquartz releases,
until
I had some problems with 2.4.0. I went back to 2.3.3.2 and things
were OK.
I really appreciate all the work that you do Jeremy, but I'd like to
get
back to a stable X11 version before December. Given Jobs distaste
for X,
I guess I should be grateful there's an officially supported version
from Apple at all.
Instead of trying to understand all of the numbering schemes and
the separate binary trees for 2.4.1, could someone please give me some
tips on how to get a stable X11 version running on SL? I don't mind
loading different bits, from different places, even building bits if I
need to, I just want what I had running before my SL upgrade.
