Yes, this is the issue to which I was also referring. And what seems odd to me is that the problem occurs on my MacBook3,1 but not on MacPro4,1, even though both are running 10.6.3 and XQuartz 2.5.0 (xorg-server 1.7.6).
Now XQuartz starts, closes and restarts repeatedly. No good. Am about to switch the previous binary back into place.
I can live with not being able to drag X11 windows off the side of my desktop and into another space, but I too want to be clear about exactly what the issue is.
