Thanks, but that doesn't help for when I resize the window. Normally, on most systems, resizing the terminal window does not cause the xterm to go bonkers like that. It doesn't happen on Linux for example, displaying back to the same X11 server on my mac. I'm thinking the xterm program that comes with Mac is messed up somehow?
I can see that resize sets COLUMNS, LINES in my environment. What is happening is that the end of the line wraps around and clobbers the current line. It's like the linefeed is missing but the carriage return executes, if that makes sense.
