Sorry, folks,
I had a snafu and missed some replies. I got them all now.
@Harold: I'm running XQuartz 2.6.0_beta1 (xorg-server 1.9.0.902) on Mac OS 10.6.5 on Intel dual quad-core Xeon, 16GB RAM.
@Jeremy: My TERM is set to "xterm". What should it be set to?
@Ambrose Li: Yes, it does seem like SIGWINCH is not being honored, understood or sent properly.
Thanks for any help! This is very frustrating. It could be a bug in the 2.6.0 X11 beta I'm using.
