If I remember correctly, there was a problem when the renamed
object contained whitespace.
I would be very leary of changing anything that might be hard
coded somewhere in admin scripts (e.g. /Users). While the people
who write these things shouldn't be hard-coding things, and
properly dealing with white space in path names, I've seen far
too many cases where this isn't the case.
