I copied these fonts from my previous Windows PC (I don't know how I got those though), and add these to the Font Book.
I have a folder containing these fonts copied from PC, and I can see a tiny lock on the lower left corner of each icon of the fonts.
Although I use Get Info from Finder and find that the 'locked' is ticked while in the Sharing & Permissions section I can see 'Michael' has Read & Write, I can use those fonts without any problems, so I think it will be fine.

----------

When I use Wi-Fi (ADSL modem to the wireless router):
Michael-Leungs-MacBook:~ Michael$ hostname -f
Michael-Leungs-MacBook.local

When I directly use the Ethernet cable (ADSL modem to my MacBook):
Michael-Leungs-MacBook:~ Michael$ hostname -f
n058153099162.netvigator.com

I think your guess is right.

Thank you Jeremy! You are so helpful!! :)

Can you show me the output of 'ls -l /Users/Michael/Library/Fonts/Myriad*' ?

Yay!

My guess is you connected to some network and got an IP address which was associated with that hostname... but I can't be 100% certain.  What does 'hostname -f' report?
