I have liked Logitech trackball devices for years but wished they would go back to a true three button device. I hate using the wheel as a middle button. There's enough physical real estate, why not put three buttons on the device?
The Anywhere MX has a separate third button. (The wheel is still a "button", but it switches a detent on/off; the wheel can be set to "click" or scroll freely.)
Where in LCC is there an option to configure the pointing device differently for each application? I've only seen a system level configuration.
Up in the center of the toolbar. It starts with "Global configuration" and grayed out; click the [+] button to the right of the dropdown, then select an application to specify settings for. (This is in LCC 3.4.0)
