Apparently the whole reason for adding XInput2 support to Wine was to be able to get relative mouse movements. See e.g. http://www.winehq.org/wwn/357#XInput 2 Spec and http://wiki.winehq.org/DInput . Absolute mouse movements were always available.

But I guess the XInput2 specs don't actually require mouse devices to also support relative movements, so in case of (the current) Mac OS X XInput2 implementation that doesn't really help.
