Hi,
Just to add, I don't have access to my macs right now, but last night I
did try ssh'ing into a remote linux box, after upgrading the client to
10.8. That worked fine. So I concur the issue seems to be with the OS X
server after the 10.8 upgrade.
cheers

Hmm. It works here. =/
Here, it doesn't. It's the server. When I run ssh -v -Y to a machine
with Mac OSX 10.5.8, it works and I see
debug1: Entering interactive session.
debug1: No xauth program.
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
debug1: Requesting X11 forwarding with authentication spoofing.

When I do the same to a machine with OSX 10.8, I see
debug1: Entering interactive session.
debug1: No xauth program.
Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding.
debug1: Requesting X11 forwarding with authentication spoofing.
debug1: Remote: No xauth program; cannot forward with spoofing.
X11 forwarding request failed on channel 0

The difference is "cannot forward with spoofing".
